I dont see why everybody starting to get annoyed at John.

1) Hes growing up. This is actually quite normal behaviour for a boy this age.

2) He’s stressed alittle because of the realisation that his childhood film turned out to be not as he remembered, and this can feel a little bit crappy the first time it happens. (i know from experence)

3)Ok so they’ve been on this ship flying through space for 2 years. I don’t know about you but I’m ammazed about how composed they both are seeing as I would have gone crazy long time ago.

4) He sort of fealt like jade and davesprite relationship was the only thing normal in a place where the normal is thrown screaming out of the window. So it can be quite a blow to see this suddenly disapear.

and 5) John is Jade’s brother. He feels compelled to to protect his sister and play the role of the father and advice giving brother at the same time. Look he just doesn’t want his sister’s heart to be smashed like that and is just trying to look after her.
